Gatrad Engineeing Corporation (GEC) has made its modest beginning in 1983, in the field of Instrumentation. GEC became the first NABL (National Accreditation Board for testing and calibration Laboratories) Accredited calibration Laboratory in the field of Dimensional Metrology, as per ISO/IEC-Guide 25 and NABL-101, in March'2000. The same was re-accredited as per new International standard for Laboratory Accreditation criteria, ISO/IEC-17025 (1999) and than ISO/IEC-17025 (2005) in the field of Dimensional Metrology, Pressure-Vacuum, RPM, Electrical, Time, Temperature, Mass and Volume parameter related Inspection, Measuring and Test Equipment Calibration, by catering the both In-house and On-site calibration facilities.

Laboratory is equipped with highly sophisticated and world-renowned calibration facilities for all the parameters for which Laboratory is capable to offer calibration services. Laboratory is in process of covering all other additional calibration facilities with scope of Accreditation, as one of the all times objective. GEC is now having chain of Laboratories within the country and overseas too.
