The Dimensional Metrology Laboratory is specially designed to meet the environment requirements within the Laboratory against the changing outside ambient conditions throughout the year.

A unique thermal proof cavity wall panel facilitates in maintaining the temperature within the specified 20 ± 1 °C. Specially designed air handling unit maintains constant temperature and air flow. A uniquely designed heating and cooling system maintains the relative humidity within 35-65% range. Dust controlled environment is achieved through micro air filters to qualify the clean room class 0.5.

The Laboratory is situated on an isolated and solid RCC platform on the ground floor to absorb and minimize all oscillations and vibrations, including the resonance frequencies of vibrations

The Laboratory is designed to utilize natural light for lighting inside the rooms with a light intensity of 450 to 1000 lux. These features has made our Laboratory truly world class, and unique of its kind.
