Electro-Technical Metrology Laboratory

Electro-Technical Laboratory is located on the first floor of the three storey building. Specific requirements of the input power quality is maintained by monitoring and controlling the most significant characteristics such as load regulation, stable power supply, input frequency and harmonic distortions etc.

Electro-Technical Laboratory is located on the first floor of the three storey building. Specific requirements of the input power quality is maintained by monitoring and controlling the most significant characteristics such as load regulation, stable power supply, input frequency and harmonic distortions etc.

Though the power supply to entire laboratory is monitored and controlled, power supply to the Electro-technical laboratory is further stabilized through isolation transformers. This supply has separate earth pits and ‘grounding’ mechanism to achieve the ‘earthing’ requirements specified by Standards and NABL criteria.

The power supply is regulated to be within 1% of supplied voltage, the earth to neutral voltage is less than 1 V and the earth resistance less than 1? as required by Standards and NABL specific criteria.

Temperature and humidity is also constantly maintained, monitored and recorded as per the requirement of Electro-technical standards and NABL specific criteria.
