Pressure Metrology Laboratory
Our Pressure Laboratory is equipped with an ultra modern and top-level Pressure Standards. The laboratory is located on the ground floor of the building on a rigid isolated RCC platform. This enables to eliminate the effect of resonant vibrations caused by external disturbances due to human and vehicular movements. Thus we are able to provide very high accuracy measurements with lowest possible associated uncertainty.
The geographical location plays a major role in determining the pressure values with very high accuracy, by using the Primary Pressure standards. Laboratory has determined the local geographical values of its position on Earth, with knownlocal gravity of acceleration “gLocal = 9.7880648 m/s2, having uncertainty ±20ppm. Ultra precision and highly accurate pressure standards are installedin Laboratory. All operations of the laboratory are carried out in such a way to maintain the metrological specifications and its integrity of the measurement to meet standardizationand regulatory bodies like ISO, OIMLetc.Environmental condition is controlled, monitored and recorded regularly with automaticdata acquisition equipment. This makes the measurement in laboratory more reliable and technically advanced.
Primary Pressure Standards, Dead Weight Pressure Tester and Pneumatic Pressure Controller (PPC4) with its unique data interface software from world renowned, DH Instruments and FLUKE, delivers very high level of confidence and minimize uncertainty in Pressure measurement.
Laboratory is proud of havingPrimary Pressure Calibration facility covering all 3 modes of Pressure measurement; Absolute (a), Vacuum (v) and Gauge (g), withultra precision and high accurate measurement, with uncertainty as low as 80ppm.
